Welcome to the Lebanon Breakfast Rotary Club!
THE OBJECT OF ROTARY
The object of Rotary is to “encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise."
IN THE BEGINNING
The first Rotary club was organized in Chicago in 1905 by Paul P. Harris.
The first club started with only four members and met in rotation at the offices of each of the members – thus the name “Rotary”.
Growth began immediately. Less than 15 years later there were over 1,000 clubs around the world.
Rotary became the world’s first service club.
ROTARY IS AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION
Worldwide, there are over 35,000 clubs. Membership is over 1.2 million.
It is with great sorrow and loss that we share the passing of two beloved Lebanon Breakfast Rotarians.
Al Partee, Jr. passed away on December 23, 2020 at the age of 90.
Al Ashworth, club president for the year 2020-2021, departed this earth on January 9, 2021 at the age of 59.
Both of our "Als" were extraordinarily unique, gifted and giving people and we love and miss them.
